Join host Joan Lunden for the inspirational story of Joanna Bull whose extraordinary acts of kindness, courage and generosity are making a profound difference in the lives of others.
When comedienne Gilda Radner was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, she found comfort working with psychotherapist Joanna Bull. Upon her death, Gilda’s husband Gene Wilder and close family friend Joel Siegel approached Bull with an idea to build a cancer support facility dedicated to Gilda’s memory, and Gilda’s Club was born. Today there are 30 Gilda’s Clubs around the country serving 50,000 men, women and children living with cancer, along with their families and friends. One of the founding supporters of the Gilda’s Club in Albany, New York recently learned first hand just how valuable the program is.
