Snapshot for Survival Builds Awareness of Colorectal Cancer
GILDA'S CLUB WORLDWIDE HOSTS NATIONAL ART CONTEST SPONSORED BY SANOFI-AVENTIS


July 2007. New York, NY. Gilda's Club Worldwide announced the winners of its second annual national art contest, Snapshot of Survival, a competition created for those affected by colorectal cancer to illustrate and visualize the emotions related to their cancer experience. This year, Clubhouses in Buffalo, Ft. Lauderdale and Seattle participated in the contest resulting in many profound displays.

First Place artworks include: "Bright Future" by Susan Lazarus of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; "G is for Gratitude" by Elizabeth (Betsey) Pankewycz of Buffalo, New York; "Get Out" by Jill Bullitt of Seattle, Washington.

Second Place artworks include: "Burst of Life" by Michelle Rabin of Buffalo, New York; "Life's Blessing" by Susan Lazarus of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; "Peace" by Anita Mitchell of Seattle, Washington.

Third Place artworks include: "An Angel for Intense Healing" by John Cieslinkski of Buffalo, New York; "Evolution of Pain" by Sue Saperstein of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; "Insight into my Darkness" by Joni James of Seattle, Washington.
