Dior-licious! Christian Dior Gives Cancer a New Look

July, 2007. New York, NY. With the help of Gilda's Club Worldwide Board Member Pamela Baxter, President and CEO of LVMH Perfumery and Cosmetics, several top Dior make-up artists again teamed up with Gilda's Club marking the second consecutive year of the Dior Backstage Beauty Event, where on July 10th and 17th the artists visited Clubhouses in Westchester, NY and Hackensack, NJ to give members living with cancer a new look.
Attended by women members who were either in treatment or post-treatment along with their family members and friends, the ladies experienced a thoroughly up-lifting day laughing, sharing stories, learning make up tips and looking just wonderful when it was over.
The credit goes to the wonderful team from Dior who simply put "get it." They understand that this is not a "makeover" but simple lessons that show women how to look the best they can.
The premier Dior make-up artists, lead by Dior Show Artists Everett Suttle and Ricky Wilson, assisted Gilda's Club members in creating personalized looks to take them through the summer and into the coming cold months. Members not only left with a goody bag of treats and looking "Dior-licious," but also all of the make-up products used that day were then sent to them by Dior!
"This was such a treat for me," said one Gilda's Club member. "I never take the time to put on makeup. It's amazing how a little blush and foundation applied in the right places makes such a difference. I feel like a whole new person"
